Tennis balls, frisbees and portraits, oh my!

Yep, another photo-intensive post.  Mom has gone crazy with the flashy beast, but that's okay because it means lots of tennis ball time, frisbee action and treats for us!

Heehee.

We had a couple of rainy days this week, but for the most part, it was a beautiful, sunny week and we got in a lot of tennis ball time.

Apparently you don't have to keep your eyes on the ball to catch it!

Tennis ball zoomies!

Jaws!

This is my tennis ballet maneuver!

I think that ball bounced off her nose and now she's going to catch it again!

Sports photographers go for "two eyes and the ball" - I think Mom is getting close!

It's a bird!  It's a plane!  It's Super Dog!  I just need a cape!

Abby, Queen of the Ear Flappage!

Double Zoomies!

Goofy-doodle!

Zoom-zoom!

"Let's do the Time Warp aag-gaain!"

A little cooling down time.

Mom keeps calling me Gumby.  I have no idea why!

My sister has three tennis balls.  I think she's a hoarder.  Anyone want to help with an intervention?  Heehee.
We also got a lot of frisbee action in.

I'm telling ya!  I'm Super Dog.  I totally need a cape!

Serious ear-flappage.

More ear flappage!

On the days that it rained a bit, Mom worked on her off-camera flash techniques.  Here's a 'behind the scenes' look at how mom gets the outdoor off-camera shots.

The little softbox on the flash doesn't freak me out like the lighting umbrella in the breeze can!

See, totally not freaked out!

Abby, looking like a normal dog!  Actually, this was a very cloudy day, Mom was very pleased with how the sky still looks gloomy and Abby is highlighted.

Here, Abby shows her true nature as a Goofadoodle.
At the end of the day, we are sisters!
Have a great week!

Memorial Day

While we will be enjoying Mom's extra day off from work, we will most definitely take time to reflect on the fact that Memorial Day is a day to remember the men and women of US Armed Forces who gave their lives so we can continue to enjoy the freedoms we enjoy as Americans (including life, liberty and the pursuit of frisbees!).

To the 'some who gave all', we thank you.

Business as Usual

Which, of course, means that this is another photo-heavy post.  What can I say?  Mom is having fun with her flashy beast (or non-flashy beast, as it has been beautiful weather, and we've been able to spend lots of quality time outside this week.)  Don't say you haven't been warned!

Without any snow, this week was a typical spring week for us; walkies, tennis ball action, and more tennis ball action.  Which is pretty much how we thing spring should be spent.

We had some acrobatic moves....

Sproing!

Notice the ball in the upper right-hand corner?  That explains my deer-like springing!

There was also much zoomie action.

Yes, I loves me tennis ball zoomies!

Abby isn't always the fastest of zoomers.

Me?  I zoom so fast that my hind feeties can sneak up in front of my front feeties!

My ears are being blown back by my zoomie speed!

Check out that zoomie-induced ear flappage!

The Hippobottomus has some good cornering skills!

More flying hind feeties!

Am I having fun?  Do you even have to ask?!?

Synchronized zoomies!

There were also a few bloopers....

Heheh.  What a goofball!

Close, but no tennis ball!
There was also much relaxing...

Life is good!

Deceptively Innocent Looking

Shifty-eyed fluffy puppy!
For those of you who have been paying attention, you'll have noticed that our Mom finally mowed the grass this weekend.  Which was a good thing, as my leggies were vanishing in the long grass....

I am lying down here, but the grass was long enough that it served as our primary defense against the imminent Corgi invasion!

Ahhh!  My leggies have returned.  But our primary defense against the Corgis is gone, so how we'll have to convince the rabbits to allow themselves to be herded by the Corgis, thus distracting the short-legged doggies while we don our tinfoil hats.  (If this comment makes no sense to you, well, it's a long story, but Corgi Collective is planning on assimilating the world and we are trying to delay the inevitable.  If this comment still makes no sense, you are probably already subjects of the Corgi Overlords!)
And, Mom got a few other 'fun' photos.

Mom says this is one of her favorite photos of me.  I can't blame her!
And for those of you who have been wondering why we call Abby 'the Hippobottomus', wonder no longer... Look at that rumpus!

Heehee!

PeeEss:  For those of you wondering what has happened to our frisbees, we still have them, Mom is just being cautious as she doesn't want Abby to 'tweak' anything again.  Abby is totally fine, so Mom will be breaking them out again in small doses, but we are having a grand time with the tennis balls.  And tennis ball action seems to wear Abby out more than frisbee action does - and Mom (and I) think a tired Abby is a good Abby!
